Welcome to the MakeMeSustainable.com founders blog. We started this blog in order to offer some of our incite and ramblings which we hope interest you. You’ll find that many of the blog topics don’t relate specifically to our website and discuss relevant environmental and entrepreneurial issues in the news and off the tops of our heads. Please enjoy, post, comment…we love feedback, especially a challenge! Cheers,
David, Ben and Adam
MakeMeSustainable.com (MMS) is a Boston based green networking portal designed to educate and empower individuals and communities to reduce their environmental impact. MMS provides simple and personalized quantitative tools to reveal how individual actions can translate into a powerful collective effort to combat Global Warming. These actions are as simple as changing a light bulb, to car pooling, to supporting local businesses that can affect wide-scale change when powered by an underlying community. Be part of the movement!

Great blog and web site (to which I was referred from Lighter Footstep… I think). Just one suggestion: perhaps you could put a link on the sidebar here leading back to your Make Me Sustainable page? Granted, we can all hit our “back” buttons – but a link would be faster.
Keep up the good work!
Comment by Marilyn July 9, 2007 @ 8:59 pmHello,
You guys said you love a challenge, so I have one for you. Please help us spread the word about a Conference about positive environmental action called Simple Solutions for Change. The description is below as well as our website.
American Youth Foundation-Simple Solutions for Change Conference
Area of Action:Environment
June 17-21, 2008
The American Youth Foundation (www.ayf.com) facilitates positive youth development programs and has for over 80 years. At the AYF, we believe we have the opportunity and responsibilty to provide a fun and safe environment where youth of all ages can develop their own best self.
During the summer of 2008, we are holding a new action-based leadership conference : Simple Solutions for Change. Conference participants will gain global and environmental knowledge and leadership skills. At the conclusion of the 5-day conference, they will also be equipped with an action plan, allowing them to return to their communities to create positive change. There will be many different elements to the conference such as nationally renowned forum speakers, action planning and feedback sessions, exploration of the natural environment, and leadership development blocks. Our website is listed below and provides helpful information about the program.

We hope to make this conference a successful program, and my request is that you help us in spreading the word. Please post this on appropriate blogs, websites or other electronic announcements and inform people you know who might be interested in attending or sending students to the conference. I am more than happy to answer any questions you have or discuss our curriculum.
Onward,
Jenn Hockema

This is a neat idea! I liked it so much that I blogged about it on my blog at JotMyThoughts.com
